The Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Art) is a three-year degree that equips graduates with the necessary conceptual and material creative knowledge to engage and thrive in the professional contemporary art industry.

The course offers immersive, integrated and experiential practice-based studio studies and critical and theoretical studies in drawing and printmaking, painting, photography and sculpture. You can select from a range of subjects that allow you to explore cross-disciplinary studies, exposing you to multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills.

Embedded in the cultural capital of Australia, you will learn from internationally recognised artists, lecturers and industry professionals. You will also have opportunities to work with visiting artists from Australia and abroad. As a graduate, you will be equipped with the skills and critical knowledge to contribute to a diverse range of contexts including professional contemporary art practice and exhibition making. You may also develop future pathways into museum and curatorial professions, fashion, design, education and art therapy.

In the first year, you will engage in foundational techniques to develop and strengthen your skills base enabling creative self-expression. In the second year, you will use your knowledge to further engage with and develop your studio practice and artistic voice. In your final year of study, you will have the unique opportunity to travel overseas and/or to involve yourself in research-based internal electives. The synthesis of these skills culminates in third year with the capstone experience of the Graduation Exhibition, a professionally curated and installed showcase of student art work from all disciplines, visited by national industry professionals, patrons, collectors and members of the general public.

墨尔本大学本科申请要求

1.学术条件

在中国大学就读一年或者在澳洲本地完成预科课程，不承认国内的高考成绩，所以国内高中毕业生无法凭借高考成绩进行申请。

2.成绩要求

高中GPA达到85分

3.语言要求

雅思总成绩不得低于6.5分，单项不得低于6分。

4.GMAT要求

申请墨尔本大学商科部分专业需要提供GMAT成绩

5.经济条件

去墨尔本大学需要提供一定的资金存款证明，而且还需要足够的留学费用。

墨尔本大学本科申请方式

1.已在国内就读大一

如果学生已经在大学学习了1年以上，也可以申请直接入学墨尔本大学。如果所学专业和申请专业相关，对于已经学习过的科目，还可以申请一定的减免学分，从而缩短学习时间，尽早毕业。

2.先读墨尔本大学的预科学院

学生高中毕业可以选择到墨尔本大学指定的预科学院圣三一学院 （Trinity College）学习预科课程，待预科期满合格之后可以直接申请墨尔本大学本科。

3.可读其他墨尔本大学承认的预科学院

除了了指定的圣三一学院，墨尔本也认可澳洲其他大学的预科课程，比如Monash蒙纳士大学、RMIT墨尔本皇家理工大学、UWA西澳大学、USYD悉尼大学、La Trobe拉筹伯大学；Adelaide阿德莱德大学、UNSW新南威尔士大学等。

4.完成墨尔本大学认可的其他高中学历

墨尔本大学除了认可澳洲高中成绩，墨尔本大学对于世界上众多国际和地区的高中文凭也广泛认可，比如：IB国际文凭，GCE A-LEVEL成绩，新西兰NCEA3证书，加拿大pre-University Program (Ontario High School Certificate)，香港中学毕业证书，美国SAT/ACT成绩等等。此方式不需要读预科，完成其认可的高中成绩即可。
