To be considered for admission to a Master's e.g. MSc, MRes, MBA etc, applicants should have been awarded a Bachelor's degree from a Project 211 university with a final overall mark of 80% or better. Preference is given to candidates with 85% or better.
Applicants for research must also be in possession of a Master's degree with 80% or better.

1, Biology is so ample that researchers can hardly reach a consensus in a number of questions, including how nucleus, the brain of cells, transmits information and directs the organelles to work together. It was precisely because I could not find the exact answer that it inspired my curiosity in entering the field of biology, chemistry as well as physics originally.
2,Experience accumulated from a large number of past experiments could be the “experiences” in concluding the development of chemistry.Organic chemistry has contributed to revealing the mechanism of life activities, and researchers have already done considerable research on this. During my undergraduate, experimental courses contain a wealth of research techniques, including NMR, IR, UV, TLC, X-ray diffraction, and so on. Although there are many methods to study molecules, people still lack knowledge of life at the molecules scale. In order to find the essence of life, I want to further integrate these chemical technologies into the biological field.
3,My academic plans are not separated, but systematically line up in a rather logic manner. What’s more, being eager to seek challenge during my undergraduate study, I got the precious chance of conducting two projects. The first one is a study of a new material called MXene in Institute of Advanced Materials (IAM) in XX University. We studied the properties of a new kind of two-dimensional material and invented a new synthesis method of MXene quantum dots through oxidation. We analyzed their fluorescence performance and tried to apply this quantum dots to biological imaging technology. The second one is X-ray crystal field characterization technician project. During the process, I spent a lot of time self-studying the basic theories and also downloaded data processing software to my computer so as to practice many times. Successfully, I learned how to select crystal samples, prepare samples, collect data to process and analyze them to work out the crystal structure by software such as APEX3 and Olex2.
Many of our Doctoral courses do not have a formal closing date – we have rolling start dates throughout the year depending on the department you wish to join.
