I.JFK Essay: The Harvard Kennedy School motto, echoing the President for whom the School is named, is “Ask what you can do.” Please share with the Admissions Committee your plans to create positive change through your public leadership and service. (500 word limit)

II.MPP Essay: The MPP curriculum is designed to broaden students’ perspective and sharpen skills necessary for a successful career in public service through a rigorous set of courses that draw on the social sciences but are adapted for action. Please describe how the MPP curriculum at HKS would leverage your distinctive abilities and/or fill gaps in your skill set as you equip yourself to achieve your career goals. (500 word limit)

III.Personal History Essay: Harvard Kennedy School believes that academic excellence and personal growth rely on engaging with varied perspectives, embracing our unique differences, and relishing healthy debate. The two-year MPP is a professional degree program designed to develop leaders who put evidence first. In course work, you'll build critical thinking and analytical skills in the core curriculum and learn to make data-driven decisions. Second Essay (350 words maximum) SIPA has identified five global policy challenges that require urgent attention today: democratic resilience, geopolitical stability, climate and sustainable development, inclusive property and macroeconomic performance, and technology and innovation. In addressing any one of these challenges, what specific policy initiative might you advocate and why?

MPA Policy Essay (200 words maximum) Identify a policy arena in which better use of quantitative data might enhance, improve, or otherwise influence decision-making in public policy. What are the challenges (short-term and long-term) to successful development and utilization of such data?

Short Answer (100 words maximum) Imagine you are meeting your classmates at SIPA for the first time. Introduce yourself in 100 words or less.
