Statement of Purpose：

The statement of purpose should be no more than two pages, typed, and single spaced. The program you are applying for asks that your statement of purpose address the following items: Please discuss your objectives for pursuing graduate study at Teachers College, and how the Master of Arts program in Arts Administration will enable you to achieve these goals.

How have you prepared yourself to achieve your goals? Be sure to highlight your academic and professional background and how your experiences have led you to apply to Teachers College. Based on your research into our program, Teachers College, and New York City, what resources will be valuable for you in meeting your objectives? What will you bring, or give back, to these communities?

Personal Statement：

• Are there educational, personal, cultural, economic, or social experiences, not described in your Statement of Purpose, that have shaped your academic journey? If so, how? Have any of these experiences provided unique perspective(s) that you would contribute to your program, field or profession?
• Describe challenge(s) or barriers that you have faced in your pursuit of higher education. What motivated you to persist, and how did you overcome them? What is the evidence of your persistence, progress or success?
