Academic entry qualification

First-year application

• Letters of Recommendation: Tufts requires one letter from a teacher in a junior or senior year major academic course (math, natural science, social science, English, or a foreign language) and one letter from a school counselor for all applicants. 

• Extracurricular Activities

• Completed Tufts Writing Supplement 

• High School Transcript(s)

• Senior Grades

• Testing:

    For applicants to the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering or the Combined Degree Programs with the SMFA at Tufts or the NEC: SAT with two subject tests or ACT. 

    For applicants to the SMFA at Tufts' BFA program: SAT or ACT. Subject tests are not required for BFA candidates applying to the SMFA at Tufts.

Transfer application

• The Common Application, which includes the Transfer Application, College Report, Academic Evaluation, and Tufts Writing Supplement. 

• All secondary school transcripts.

• SAT Reasoning Test or ACT scores (SAT Subject Test scores are not required, but should be sent if available).

• Official college transcripts.

• Brief descriptions of college courses. 

• A list of courses in progress (if not listed on the transcript) on Transfer College Report.

• TOEFL or IELTS scores

• Transfer Mid-Term Report

Standardized Tests

English language testing is required for students for whom English is not the primary language and not the language of instruction in their secondary school.

School codes:

Tufts' code for the SAT and SAT II exams is 3901. The code for ACT is 1922. The Tufts code for TOEFL submission is 3901.

转学生
