Academic entry qualification
The Department receives a large number of applications every year. To be considered for admission into the MS in Financial Engineering program, students must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and proven proficiency in:Linear Algebra，Probability Theory，Calculus (Advanced)，Applied Statistics，Computer Programming.
Standardized Tests
Applicants who are applying for full-time enrollment must submit official GRE scores electronically through ETS.The MS in Integrated Digital Media is the only exception and does not require GRE scores for full-time applicants.GMAT scores may be substituted for the GRE only for applicants to the Management and Management of Technology programs. The NYU Tandon School of Engineering requires that graduate applicants achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 90 on the internet-based test or an overall band of 7.0 on IELTS.
