Academic entry qualification overview
Applicants seeking admission to a master's degree program should have obtained a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution, or an approved equivalent qualification
1.Applicants must declare the concentration they apply for at the time of application. Any transfer between the TESL and TCSL concentrations must be approved by the Academic Directors, and is contingent on whether students can meet the language proficiency requirement of the concentration they would like to transfer to. Double-concentration is not allowed.
2.Applicants for the dual degree program with USC should meet the admission requirements of both programs. They should follow the normal application procedures to apply for either the TESL or TCSL Concentration, and declare their interest in the dual degree pathway to the Program Office. Applicants will be selected jointly by both schools. Successful applicants will receive written confirmation from both HKUST and USC for admission to the two programs. Applicants who fail to be selected for the dual degree program may be considered for admission to the MA program of HKUST based on academic merit.
3.Current students of the MA program in International Language Education may declare their interest in the dual degree pathway by the end of October each year. Suitable candidates will be selected jointly by HKUST and USC. Successful applicants will normally commence their study at USC in the Spring Term

学术入学资格
获得认可大学的本科学位，或其他同等专业资格。要求:211，985院校成绩82-85，非211，985院校需要85-88。（成绩略低于学校要求但是有其他方面如工作实习经验，获得重大奖项等也可以申请）
1.申请人必须在申请时申报申请的方向。TESL和TCSL方向之间的任何转移必须经学术主任批准，取决于学生是否能够满足他们想要转移的方向的语言能力要求。双重方向是不允许的。
2.与USC进行双学位课程的申请人符合两个课程的入学要求。他们应遵循正常的申请程序来申请TESL或TCSL，并对招生办公室申明他们对双重方向的兴趣。申请人将由两所学校共同选拔。成功的申请人将收到科大和南加大大学的书面确认，以入读两个课程。不符合学位课程的申请人可根据学术成绩考虑入读科大硕士课程。
3.国际语言教育硕士课程的本科生可以在每年10月底宣布双学位课程的兴趣方向。合适的候选人将由科大和南开大学联合选出。成功的申请者通常在春季期间在南加州大学开始学习

托福100+，写作27+或者雅思7.0写作7.0其他单项不低于5.5。
