About the MechanoBioEngineering Laboratory

We seek to address important scientific and biomedical problems using interdisciplinary approaches, develop innovative solutions and translate them for biological and healthcare applications. Our focused areas include mechanobiology of human diseases and development of mechanobiologically inspired platforms in microfluidics and wearable microdevices to better detect, diagnose and treat diseases. We have won numerous research awards and honors and have also spun out several startup companies to translate technologies from our lab to bedside and market. We are affiliated with the iHealthtech, Mechanobiology Institute, Centre for Advanced 2D Materials and SMART.

职位一：低雷诺数流动的理论计算:

low-Reynolds-number fluid-structure interaction, complex flow and multiphase flow, applying control theory and machine learning in the design of microrobots and microfluidics; experience in coding by Fortran/C/C++, python and/or parallel computing is appreciated. Some experience in LBM/IBM/BIM/FEM (in-house or open-source solvers) will be beneficial.

The candidate will work on applying optimal control and machine learning to microfluidics and micro-robots. He/she will mainly conduct experiments in Prof. Chwee Teck Lim's Lab.

He/she will mainly conduct experiments in Prof. Chwee Teck Lim's Lab (https://ctlimlab.org) and collaborate with Dr Lailai Zhu on interfacing the control or machine learning algorithms with experiments.
